How we calculate closeness to a pro

We take your Faceit stats for the last 30 matches and compare them with the pro on five metrics: ELO, average damage per round (ADR), K/D, headshot % and win %. For each metric we take the “you / pro” ratio, capped at 100%. The result is a weighted sum: ELO counts 40%, damage and K/D 20% each, headshots and wins 10% each. With fewer than 30 matches Faceit has no stats yet, so we compare by ELO only.

What ELO, ADR, K/D and HS% mean

ELO

A player’s Faceit rating. It goes up with wins and down with losses; Faceit uses it to find opponents and assign a level from 1 to 10.

ADR

Average damage per round. Shows how useful a player is in fights, even without getting the kill.

K/D

Kills per death. Above 1 means you kill more often than you die.

HS%

Share of kills by headshot. A sign of aim precision.

Win %

Share of matches won out of the last 30.

Why Faceit

Both amateurs and professionals play on Faceit, and every player’s stats are public. It is one scale for everyone, so your numbers can fairly stand next to a pro’s. Everyone plays in their own lobbies, though: pros face stronger opponents, so closeness is a guide, not a verdict.

FAQ

Is the test free?

Yes. No sign-up needed — just a Faceit nickname or a Steam profile link.

Which Steam link should I enter?

Open your Steam profile and copy a link like steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656… — a short /id/ link can’t be looked up. Your Faceit account must be linked to that Steam.

I don’t have Faceit — what now?

Faceit takes 2 minutes to set up by signing in with Steam. Meanwhile you can roughly compare yourself by Premier rating — press “I don’t have Faceit” under the input.

Why is my percentage low?

Closeness is measured against the best players in the world, so for most people it is low. Look beyond the total at your strongest metric and your step on the path — that shows what to improve first.

How often are the numbers updated?

Your numbers come from Faceit when you check. Pro numbers are updated every day.

How do I get closer to a pro?

Train systematically: review your games, set goals by metric and work with a coach. That is what the CyberLab CS2 school does — the first lesson is free.
